Given that this week’s #Pondcast was produced from what will likely be our last recording session of 2017, the show by default becomes our annual Christmas special. Calling it such is a little disingenuous given that we do absolutely nothing to celebrate the holidays other than share our soccer-related gift guide, a.k.a our own personal audio Christmas wishlists. A number of listeners also shared their favorite soccer gifts they’ve received over the years, and we’ll sprinkle those in there, too.

Of course, we also covered two matchday’s worth of Premier League action. That includes delving into Manchester City’s incredible superiority to everyone else in world football, and Crystal Palace’s zombie/Jesus-like resurrection.
