On January 19, 2019, youth soccer coaches, administrators and soccer enthusiasts from across the Commonwealth of Kentucky will be converging in Lexington for the third-annual Learning University conference, hosted by Kentucky Youth Soccer.
The day-long conference at The Lexington Center will focus on providing education to youth soccer clubs in the Bluegrass State in a variety of areas, ranging from on-pitch training methods to club administrative matters.
Presenters at the 2019 edition of Kentucky Soccer Learning University include United Soccer Coaches Director of Coaching Ian Barker, Cincinnati Dutch Lions head coach and former FC Cincinnati midfielder Paul Nicholson, coaching theory expert Reed Maltbie, and members of the academies from Minnesota United and the Philadelphia Union.
Also on the docket? Wrong Side of the Pond founder D.J. Switzer is set to speak during the first session for club administrators and boards about how clubs and organizations can get the most out of social media! To do so, D.J. will once again be teaming up with frequent collaborator Matthew Dooley, the founder of Cincinnati-based brand-building agency Dooley Media.
The pair will kick off one of the first sessions of the conference by hosting a 75-minute, interactive, fireside chat-style talk in meeting room “Thoroughbred #5” beginning at 9 AM on January 19.
The discussion will not only look at how youth club’s and soccer organizations can promote themselves on social media but also how to use it for everything from club culture building to recruiting players and sponsors.
Registration for the 2019 Kentucky Soccer Learning University is just $60 and runs through Wednesday, January 16. Be sure to register at the link below, as no on-site registration will be available.
