#Pondcast: The widening gulf

Let’s kick off this week’s episode by first admitting that we appreciate you — our dwindling, valued listeners — for enduring another long layoff between episodes. While we’ve frequently subjected you to them due to busy spells in our dad lives, international breaks, and Jeremy’s fondness for open heart surgeries. But this time, the layoff was a bit more out of our control, as Jeremy took some away from the show to mourn the passing of his older brother, and long-time #Pondcast listener and supporter, Josh. This week’s show is dedicated in his honor.

In it, we talked about the long-term fate of Josh’s beloved Everton, the ever-increasing gulf in class between United and City, and the disparate fates of D.J. and Jeremy’s favorite teams. Plus, there’s was plenty of time to talk MLS playoff and our disdain for FIFA’s recent World Cup choices.
