After subjecting D.J. to giving Tottenham a weekly beating on the show, we gave him a reprieve on this week’s #Pondcast by switching our attention to the chaos on the other side of North London. Winless in his last four matches, the heat has intensified on Arsenal manager Unai Emery and the locals have grown restless. After running the gamut through the rest of the Premier League’s weekend action, we switched our attention to the rapid closing of the domestic soccer calendar. There was a new women’s national team coach to contend with, and MLS Cup and Seattle’s triumph over Toronto also receives heavy billing. And then we hit the USL’s League One and Championship before even making time for — gasp! — NISA.
