While the hole developing in the toe of my current pair attest I should really be looking to score some new indoor/court shoes, these fresh kicks from Cristiano Ronaldo’s upcoming 2013 Summer Collection now sit atop of my list of wants instead. I haven’t been able to find any information on them at all aside […]
Some players are just destined for the headlines. How they find themselves there though, is often very different. Many of those regularly in the headlines earned that right on merit, their amazing displays on the pitch rewarded with plaudits and front page cameos. You know the types: Messi, Ronaldo, van Persie, Pirlo, etc. Then there […]
Yo dawg… I heard you like David Beckham’s new underwear, so we put Beckham in with a bunch of Beckham’s underwear so you can help him earn more money while giving him your money. Sorry, I had to. Though I was tempted to use a picture from Friday’s epic battle in the snow in Denver, […]
Someone get Punxsutawney Phil on the phone, because that bastard is a liar. Like most meteorologists, the over sized rodent didn’t see his shadow which meant winter was over with. We even passed the March equinox two days before kickoff, so we’re officially in Spring. Apparently, Mother Nature feels no need to answer groundhogs or astronomical phenomenons. […]

Much in the world of football is cyclical. Each leagues’ yearly seasons are the easiest examples of this. But larger scale tournaments happen over longer, repeating periods: World Cups, European Championships and Asian Cups all take place in four-year cycles, while the rest of the world’s confederations operate on two-year ones — well, most of the […]
I freaking love Twitter. Probably more than I should. It’s an addiction I think. And a major part of my love for the social media service stems from — in my opinion at least — there’s really no better medium out there to discover and connect with fellow fans of the beautiful game. The use […]
Today marks the birth of “Pic of the Week”, yet another recurring series of posts here on WSOTP. Each Monday, I plan to post my favorite picture from the previous week’s football happenings. Sometimes it might be a momentous moment, other times it might be a bit silly. This week’s picture, falls into the latter category. […]
