With our first live (short) show behind us, the guys returned to their metaphorical booth for their second summer special of 2019 — and there was a lot to talk about. In case you somehow missed it, the U.S. women’s national team lifted their second straight World Cup since we last recorded — and we devoted part of this episode to talk about the impact of the outcome on and off the pitch. We also spoke on the men’s team, and how their loss in the Gold Cup to Mexico is actually a positive for the program. We also spent some time talking about the woes of Ohio’s MLS clubs, but not before touching on some surprising acquisitions by #Pondcast team’s Premier League clubs.
